Cyber Threats in the Pipeline: Using Lessons from the Colonial Ransomware Attack to Defend Critical Infrastructure Hearing

The House Committee on Homeland Security, Chaired by Rep. Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS), will hold a full Committee virtual hearing as part of the Committee’s ongoing oversight of the cybersecurity of our critical infrastructure after the ransomware attack on the Colonial Pipeline last month. The hearing will be an opportunity for Members to ask about Colonial’s response to the attack, the overall effort to restore services, and the degree to which the company sought to proactively engage with Federal partners like the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
